Daytona Beach Hosts The United States Air Force Reserve Band


DAYTONA BEACH (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The City of Daytona Beach Cultural Services Division will host the Band of the United States Air Force Reserve from Warner Robbins, GA., for two free concerts at the Peabody Auditorium. It will be held on February 1st and 2nd and the tickets are free.

The 43-piece concert band is the largest and most versatile unit of the Band of the United States Air Force Reserve with a varied repertoire that ranges from classical overtures through Sousa marches to Broadway show tunes, popular music, movie themes and patriotic favorites. They have performed throughout the United States and made historic appearances in Russia. The Concert Band has performed with such renowned guest artists as Bob Hope, Dinah Shore, B.J. Thomas, The Lettermen, Crystal Gayle and Faith Hill.

They were presented with the prestigious Colonel George S. Howard Award from the Sousa Foundation for outstanding military concert bands in 1994 and 1996. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
