David Keighley To Head All PRG UK Operations

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Production Resource Group (PRG), a leading supplier of entertainment lighting technology, has appointed David Keighley as head of all PRG UK operations. Keighley, who has worked in the industry for over 25 years, was previously a managing director of the company's European operations. In his new role, Keighley will oversee what has become the largest live-event lighting, rental and sales group of companies in the UK and Europe. The group includes the company's operations in Birmingham, Croydon and Greenford in the UK, and its sales and rental facilities in Europe.

Keighley began his career in the entertainment equipment industry in 1977, working for See Factor, where he worked his way up to the position of managing director. In 1990, he left See Factor and toured for 18 months with Deep Purple as lighting designer and production manager. He then joined Samuelson Concert Productions and then Light & Sound Design (LSD) as managing director of UK operations. After LSD was acquired by PRG, he worked to expand PRG's reach in Europe.

In the past 27 years, Keighley has had the opportunity to work in almost every aspect of the lighting field, as a technician, stage manager, production manager and managing director and has provided lighting design and support for some of the biggest concert tours and special events in Europe, including tours by The Rolling Stones, U2, David Bowie, Bon Jovi and Paul McCartney.

"With an impressive career spanning well over a quarter century, and a proven dedication to his craft, Dave was a natural choice to head our growing operations in the UK and Europe," said Jere Harris, PRG's chairman and CEO. "He has already played an integral part in the development of this company, and we look forward to working with him to continue growing our UK operations. We congratulate him as he assumes this expanded role."

"I am excited and proud to be given the responsibility to lead the PRG UK team forward in what I believe will be an incredible period of growth and opportunity for our employees and our clients," said Keighley. "With our wealth of experience and dedication to hard work and quality, we will continue to offer our clients, both old and new, the very highest standards for which we are renowned. They'll have access to the widest selection of rental equipment available anywhere in the industry and the deepest pool of knowledge and experience."

PRG has a global presence with major operations in Birmingham (U.K.), Chicago, Las Vegas, London, Los Angeles, metropolitan New York, Michigan, Nashville, Orlando, Tokyo and Toronto. –Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
