NEWARK, NJ (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – Devils Arena Entertainment president and chairman Jeff Vanderbeek and AEG New York/New Jersey president Nick Sakiewicz announced today that veteran venue management executive Dale Adams has been named general manager of Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center, which is set to open on October 26. Kevin Morgan also joins the executive team as vice president of sales.
Adams, a 27-year entertainment-industry veteran in both venue management and touring, most recently served as general manager of the newly-constructed 18,000-seat Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. Adams has held general manager and director-level positions at the multi-purpose Pontchartrain Center near New Orleans, LA, as well as the multi-venue Mullins Center complex on the campus of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA. Adams’ touring experience includes four years as general manager with Disney On Ice, and six years as director of North American routing and tours for Feld Entertainment, Inc., where he oversaw touring productions of Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Disney On Ice, Goosebumps, Grease On Ice, and various other theatrical properties. Adams is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Sports Management program with a specialization in coliseum, stadium and venue management.
Morgan joins AEG Facilities with an extensive background in sales and marketing, most recently as Chief Marketing Officer for the National Hockey League’s Washington Capitals, where he was responsible for overseeing the majority of the business operations. Prior to joining the Capitals, Morgan served as the general sales manager for New York-based One-On-One Sports, where he led the network to record growth.
In the mid-‘90s, Morgan served as director of ticket sales for the NHL’s New Jersey Devils. A native of Eatontown, NJ, Morgan holds a degree in business communications from William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. He and his wife, Nicole, have three children.
The Prudential Center will feature a 4,800 square-foot, state-of-the-art exterior LED screen, the latest in ice-surface technology and a gourmet restaurant overlooking the event floor. The venue will contain 76 luxury suites, 2,330 club seats, 750 television monitors, wide concourses, 12 escalators, eight elevators and an array of fan amenities and conveniences, including the richly appointed Fire and Ice Lounges for club seat holders, and the Goal Bar and Platinum Club Lounge for premium seat holders.
