The Cranberries return to the United States next month for a series of seven radio station-sponsored Christmas concerts Dec 3-11. The group postponed a trip in October in the wake of the Sept 11 terrorist attacks.
"I was really concerned for my two little children at a very difficult time following the uncertainties arising out of the conflict in Afghanistan, said Dolores O’Riordan. “Our guitarist (Noel Hogan) is going through challenging times in his family, and the band felt we should be home with our families and we have always followed our hearts. Now it's time to get back to work and bring some happiness to our fans in America with a few performances before we begin our next world tour in February 2002."
A session guitarist will be filling in for Hogan who is remaining home due to an illness with his two-year old daughter.
The Cranberries will perform at the following radio shows:
Dec 3 Boston, MA — Fleet Center — WBMX Christmas
Dec 4 Philadelphia, PA — Finnigans Wake — WMIX Christmas show
Dec 5 Cleveland, OH — Playhouse Square — WQAL Christmas
Dec 8 Baltimore, MD — Baltimore Arena — WMIX Christmas
Dec 9 Tampa, FL — Mahaffey Theatre — WSSR Christmas
Dec 10 Providence, RI — Dunkin' Donuts Center — WPRO Christmas

Proceeds generated by the radio stations are being donated to a variety of local and national charities.
