Cosby, Gray, Moby, India.Arie And Philbin Added To Songwriters Hall Of Fame Ceremony


(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The National Academy of Popular Music/Songwriters Hall of Fame, the organization dedicated to recognizing
the work and lives of those composers and lyricists who create popular music around the world, has added Bill Cosby, Macy Gray, India.Arie,
Moby and Regis Philbin to the presenters or performers for this year's Songwriter Hall of Fame induction. The 35th annual Songwriters Hall of Fame gala is set for June 10 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

This year's inductees include Charles Fox, Al Green, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Don McLean and Strong and Whitfield. Stevie Wonder will be
receiving this year's prestigious Johnny Mercer Award; Rob Thomas will be receiving the first SHOF Starlight Award; Neil Sedaka will be receiving the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award; Warner/Chappell's Les Bider will be receiving the Abe Olman Award and the Toys'R'Us Children¹s Foundation's Michael Goldstein will be receiving the Patron of the Arts Award. This year's Towering Song is "What The World Needs Now Is Love," written by Hal David and Burt Bacharach and published by Casa David (ASCAP) and New Hidden Valley Music (ASCAP).
