Corb Donohue Dies At 66

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Former record exec and Variety music editor Joseph 'Corb' Donohue has died at the age of 66 after a long battle with cancer.

According to Variety Donohue was a graduate of UC Berkley before going to work as a production assistant for the "Steve Allen Show" and later a producer.

After a turn working in the peace corp as a public information officer, Donohue returned to the entertainment fold, serving tenures as the music editor at the Daily Variety, and as an exec at several record labels, including Elektra, A&M and Motown Records among others.

Longtime record exec and former Daily Variety music editor Joseph Corbett (Corb) Donohue Jr. died Oct. 5 in San Clemente, Calif., after a long battle with cancer. He was 66.

In recent years, Donohue founded Donohue Marketing Communications, a consulting and artist development firm which worked with clients such as Margaritaville Records and Corona Beer.

Donohue was a positive influence in the careers of numerous artists, including Jim Croce and Jimmy Buffett. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
