INDIO, CA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – Coachella, which has grown to become one of the mainstays of the summer festival scene, has completely sold out. To quote their website: “NO MORE TIX.. SORRY None left anywhere. “
The three day music festival, produced by AEG's Goldenvoice, is set to go this weekend (April 16-18) in Indio, California, with scheduled headliners: Jay-Z, Radiohead's Thom Yorke (Atoms for Peace), Gorillaz and Muse.
"We almost didn't do Coachella this year," Goldenvoice's Paul Tollett told the Los Angeles Times "We felt the economy wasn't looking so hot. But festivals seem to be hanging in there, and I'm as surprised as anyone."
With a lineup of over 135 bands and 80,000 fans, all holding three day passes as no single day tickets were sold this year, “To Coachella or not to Coachella?” should be a question easily answered by AEG execs next year. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
