CLEAR CHANNEL NEWS: (Click on More to view all articles): Clear Channel, American Express Extend Relationship

Clear Channel Entertainment and American Express have extended their four-year relationship into another multi-year deal in which American Express will become the Official Card at Clear Channel Entertainment's 34
amphitheaters and 25 musical theatres and clubs. Financial terms were not disclosed.

In addition to on-site branding opportunities, the deal
includes special cardmember programs for users of the American Express Gold
Card Events program. Additionally, American Express will receive other
large-scale benefits including, for the first time, the ability for
cardmembers to redeem Membership Rewards points for ticket purchases at
Clear Channel Entertainment owned and operated concert and family events and
venues.

"American Express has been a terrific partner since 1998 — we
are pleased that they have expanded their relationship with us," said Bruce
Eskowitz, president of national sales and marketing, Clear Channel
Entertainment.
"Combining our entertainment properties and venues, we have
created this
distinctive program to help increase brand awareness and usage
of American
Express Cards at our events."

" This ongoing
relationship with
Clear Channel Entertainment enables us to provide cardmembers
special access
and treatment at top music venues across the country," said
Nancy Smith,
vice president, global media and sponsorship marketing at
American Express.
"This relationship is also an excellent way for us to grow our entertainment-category presence."

Clear Channel To Produce NFL Kickoff From Times Square

Clear Channel's Entertainment, Radio and Outdoor divisions have been tapped by the NFL to produce and promote New York City and the National Football League Present "NFL Kickoff Live from Times Square" on September 5. Headlined by Bon Jovi, the event also features Enrique Iglesias and Eve with special guest
Alicia Keys, as well as — for the first time — a special half-time
performance by Bon Jovi at Giants Stadium during the New York Giants vs. San
Francisco 49ers game. The NFL and Clear Channel have previously worked together on an event of similar scale – U2's Super Bowl Half Time Show in New Orleans in February.

"This is a great example of how Clear Channel Worldwide's assets can offer
major content owners like the NFL the ability to generate awareness for a
high-profile event and deliver great content for our listeners and
advertisers and make it a win-win for both parties," said Jeff Sofka, senior
vice president, Clear Channel. "For example, to activate its NFL
sponsorship of the kickoff event, Verizon has signed on to promote the NFL
Kickoff contest via Clear Channel radio stations in the New York
metropolitan area. "
