Civic Tour Featuring Dashboard Confessional Logs 13 Sell Outs

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Civic Tour, which has helped breaking artists gain momentum for the past four years, has supported bands from the first year with blink-182, to Incubus to last year's co-headliners Good Charlotte and New Found Glory. 2004's headliner Dashboard Confessional experienced concert ticket sales at their highest point to date; 13 shows were sell-outs.

This year's tour has now concluded with 10 fans so far winning fully customized Dashboard Confessional Honda Civics and continues to keep concertgoers involved. Fans still have one last shot at winning the final customized DC Civic through the "Drive Away With Dashboard Confessional" national online sweepstakes at civictour.com. The contest ends on September 2 and is open to licensed drivers 18 and older.

"Being on this tour allowed us to play bigger venues and reach more fans with an inexpensive ticket price, which we couldn't have done without Honda's support," said Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional. "It ended up being the best tour we've done thus far."

Civic Tour introduced something new this year by offering free music downloads on the tour's website. Music fans can still download three free exclusive live recordings of "Hands Down," "Screaming Infidelities" and "The Sharp Hint of New Tears" until mid-December at civictour.com.

Civic Tour fans can also get in the mix and support their favorite act by offering their pick for the 2005 Civic Tour band on civictour.com. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
