Chrysalis Music May Be On The Block

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Chris Wright, the CEO of the media company, the Chrysalis Group has announced that he would be willing to listen to offers for the firm.

"We think Chrysalis Music is very very valuable to anybody, and we're well aware of that," Wright told the London Times. "I think I'd have to listen to any good offer, I only own 27 pct of the shares, not 100 pct, and I have to take cognisance of outside investors."

The sale of the remains of the group has been the subject of much speculation since earlier this year, when they divested their radio holdings, sharpening the focus of the company to music publishing, music recording, artist management and entertainment product distribution.

Wright has reportedly been facing some pressure from shareholders to sell rather than face the future uncertainty plaguing the record industry. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
