(CelebrityAccess News Service) — Chilmark Entertainment Group has formed S2C Records, a new urban label that will be headed by veteran record industry executive Mark Cuddy. The first CD released on March 4 was "Ghetto Prophecy" by the rap trio G-Style, executive produced by P. Diddy and produced by Doorel "King" James.
National distribution of S2C is through Black Label Transit out of Sacramento, CA and radio promotion, marketing and sales is directed by Joey Quarles through his Streetspace Entertainment Group. Quarles background includes stints with RCA Records, Universal Music Distribution, the David Geffen Company, WEA and Atlantic Records.
Prior to becoming the president of S2C Records, Cuddy was general manager of the Billboard Live Night Club in Los Angeles, part owner of Sandblast Concerts and president of Cuddy Entertainment, a diversified music business company.
"Our operation is constructed so that we can put the effort needed behind our artists and still show a profit long before the majors do as a result of our lower overhead," said Cuddy.
