Changes Brewing At CCE?

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire)- -Executive changes seem to be stirring at Clear Channel Entertainment, according to www.billboard.biz. It appears CCE is about to name Miles Wilkin, CCE's chairman/CEO of Europe and chairman of theatrical worldwide, as chief executive of CCE Music, which includes touring, venues and sponsorships. Michael Rapino, CCE Music CEO for Europe, is believed to be slated to run CCE's worldwide concert business. Clear Channel's European music division has reportedly been operating more efficiently than the American division.

If these changes occur, the status of CCE Music co-CEOs Don Law in Boston and Dave Lucas in Indianapolis are unclear, although both are expected to stay with CCE and reporting to Wilkin and Rapino.

CCE Chairman/CEO Brian Becker still heads the music division. Becker and Wilkins used to work together at Pace Concerts in the 1980's. Pace was later sold to SFX, which in turn was acquired by Clear Channel Communications.

Lucas insists that business is status quo. "Everything is as it has been," he told Billboard.biz
