CCE Taps Kimberly Bowron To Lead Charity Division

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — To enhance and broaden its charitable giving efforts in local communities across the country, Clear Channel Entertainment has created a dedicated division of the company called "Clear Channel Entertainment Charities" and tapped Kimberly Bowron as senior vice president, corporate culture and philanthropy, to lead the program. In her new role, she will develop national charitable partnerships that utilize the company's extensive resources and assets to make an even greater community-based impact. In addition, she will work collaboratively with Clear Channel Entertainment local and regional business units on their individual charity projects and commitments.

"Clear Channel Entertainment contributes a tremendous amount of dollars, in-kind resources and volunteer time to every single community in which we operate," said Brian Becker, chairman and CEO of Clear Channel Entertainment. "We are committed to continuing this and expanding our efforts in such a way that we can serve a greater number of needs."

Clear Channel Entertainment Charities plans to identify two national organizations to provide year-long support as well as a number of projects that have ties to the live entertainment industry. In addition, the company will work with artists to contribute time and resources to the charitable causes they hold close to their hearts.

"We have been hard at work talking to a number of different non-profit organizations and we have several upcoming significant announcements to make regarding the new programs and partnerships we are establishing," said Bowron. "Our primary emphasis will be working with charities that can directly impact local communities and the people who live there. After all, our employees live and work there, as well, and they are eager to give their time and talents to worthwhile causes. And our artists have an equally deep commitment to the communities where they perform."

Bowron has been with Clear Channel Entertainment for three years, previously serving as vice president, human resources. Prior to joining Clear Channel Entertainment, Bowron served as leadership consultant for Honeywell. Bowron was the director of human resources for both Triconex and Midcom Corporation in California. –Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
