CCE Properties' Back To School Rock Campaign Offers Free Concert

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) —
Clear Channel Entertainment Properties (CCEP) is creating the first "Back to School Rock" campaign for Boost Mobile, a lifestyle-based telecommunications division of Nextel Communications focused on the youth market. The program offers students the opportunity to enter in a sweepstakes to win a free concert at their high school in eight markets: Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington D.C.

CCEP created the innovative high school marketing campaign that includes email, web site, off-line and radio promotions to announce and generate interest for the sweepstakes. In addition to managing and administering the sweepstakes and promotions, CCEP secured the artist talent and will produce and manage the custom concerts.

"We're thrilled with our relationship with Clear Channel Entertainment," said Darryl Cobbin, vice president of marketing, Boost Mobile. "Their vast network of entertainment assets and creative resources is helping us reach out and further extend the appeal of the Boost brand to young people across the country."

"Creating a program that can tap the live music experience is unequivocally the smart choice for reaching the youth market," said Bruce Eskowitz, president of Clear Channel Entertainment Properties. "With increasing competition among youth marketing, Boost Mobile sought an alternative to the traditional, saturated marketing channels to help establish an emotional connection with the youth demographic."

The sweepstakes rewards the school with the most points as a percentage of the student body with a free concert. Students earn points by submitting an entry, online or onsite at their school and can earn more points by branding an item with the Boost logo. No purchase is necessary to enter. The grand prize will be a free, exclusive concert to take place in November. The grand prize school will also receive $1,000 in cash and a $500 Best Buy Gift Card. The top three runner-up schools will receive three Boost Mobile phones with pre-paid minutes and a $100 Best Buy Gift Card. The next 25 schools will receive an autographed poster from select artists.–Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
