CCE Launches Nationwide Partnership With Communities In Schools

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire)

Clear Channel Entertainment has launched a nationwide partnership with Communities In Schools (CIS), the country's leading community-based organization helping children succeed in school and prepare for life.

CCE Charities, the company's newly launched charitable division, will work with its network of amphitheatres across the country to kick off the company's "Ticket to Change" initiative, which will raise awareness and provide financial support for CIS. Concertgoers will have the opportunity to get involved by making a donation to CIS through specially-marked "Ticket to Change" canisters located at concession stands in a majority of Clear Channel Entertainment amphitheatres throughout the U.S.

Clear Channel Entertainment will promote and provide other support for CIS's Lunch With A Leader online auction event which provides an opportunity for anyone to place a bid online through eBay to have lunch with some of America's leading figures in entertainment, sports, business, journalism, and politics. CCE will also coordinate with state and local CIS programs to establish opportunities for summer jobs and volunteer activities for CCE employees.

"A successful start in life begins with a good education," said Brian Becker, chairman and CEO of Clear Channel Entertainment. "Many of today's youth face tremendous obstacles before they ever finish school. Communities In Schools gives these kids a chance to excel in the classroom and ultimately realize their dreams. We are proud to lend our support to this organization which is so vital to the success of our nation's youth."

Communities In Schools (CIS) champions the connection of needed community resources with schools to help young people successfully learn. CIS is the nation's leading community-based dropout prevention network helping students stay in school and prepare for life. More than 2 million students and their families have access to Communities In Schools service programs in 245 school districts in 28 states and the District of Columbia.
