CBS Announces Streaming Deal With Apple TV

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Television network CBS has announced that they are partnering with Apple to launch CBS All Access, an on demand video service, on Apple TV.

For about $6 dollars a month, Apple TV users will have access to more than 7,500 episodes from current shows and classic shows on demand, as well as the ability to stream their local CBS Television station live in more than 100 markets across the U.S.

The announcement comes as Apple tries to secure deals with content producers ahead of the launch of the next iteration of their delayed Apple TV set top device.

The television landscape is undergoing a tectonic shift as consumers increasingly cut the cord with traditional cable services and turning to streaming on demand content from providers such as Hulu and Netflix.

Apple was expected to reveal details about the latest version of their TV service in September but the reveal has been pushed back to 2016. – Staff Writers
