NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Country music star Carrie Underwood was forced to pull out of a scheduled appearance at a benefit concert in Nashville on Sunday while she recovers from injuries sustained in a fall.
The Tennessean reported that Underwood was treated and released from a hospital after suffering a broken wrist, cuts and abrasions in a fall at her home.
In a statement released via Twitter on Sunday, Underwood thanked her fans for their outpouring of support and noted that her husband, retired NHL hockey star Mike Fisher, was taking care of her.
"I'll be alright…might just take some time…glad I've got the best hubby in the world to take care of me," she wrote in the social media post.
Underwood was slated to perform at a benefit for the victims of the horrific Las Vegas festival shooting as well as the victims of the hurricanes in Florida, Texas, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
