Carling Beer Drops Festival Sponsorship

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — After nine years of marriage, organizers for Festival Republic have confirmed that they and Carling are parting ways starting 2008.

The beer company made the surprise announcement last week, stating that the decision was "strategic one" and they revealed that they would be focusing on expanding their chain of branded venues.

In a statement, Festival Republic's Melvin Benn said: "It was by mutual agreement that both parties felt the time was right to pursue new opportunities."
