Cantrell Forms Supergroup For Sweet Relief Musicians Fund

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire)
Former Alice in Chains guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell will join forces
with Cult guitarist Billy Duffy and Motley Crue vocalist John Corabi to form "supergroup" Cardboard Vampires, a unique ‘covers project’ that will debut at the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund “Badass Benefit Series,” held April 5, 12
and 19 at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. The band, which will debut
April 12th, will also feature guest appearances by members of popular modern
rock group “Puddle of Mudd.”

The all-star concert series, scheduled for three consecutive Mondays, and
produced by Music for Charity Productions, will also feature the Los
Angeles debut of reunited American Music Club, and a
special acoustic set from Concrete Blonde. Other performers confirmed to
appear include: Michelle Shocked, Paula Cole, Jesse Harris (Grammy Winning
Songwriter), Grant Lee Phillips, Michael Penn, Glen Phillips (Toad the Wet
Sprocket front-man) and Whitestarr. More artists and special guests will be announced shortly.

financial assistance to musicians for medical expenses, alternative
therapies and basic needs. In addition to the concert
series, artists including The Pixies, Liz Phair, Linkin Park, Henry Rollins
