Canada's Prairie Music Week Announces Nominees


The fourth annual Prairie Music Week, in Winnipeg, September

26 – 29 has announced its nominees for this year's Prairie Music Awards.

The PMW Conference will feature a diverse and talented group of recognized
music professionals speaking on their experiences and sharing their
expertise with delegates from across the country, it will also includes a
youth career day to help foster the growth of the music industry from its
earliest stages. The PMW Festival is a three-night extravaganza of
blistering energy as talent from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta showcase
before national and international A&R, music journalists and industry
representatives at a bevy of venues throughout the city.

The Prairie Music Industry Awards will be held on Saturday, September 28 at
the Hotel Fort Garry honouring dedicated managers, booking agents, and
talent buyers to name a few.

The prestigious Prairie Music Awards cap off the festivities Sunday,
September 29 at the Burton Cummings Theatre for the Performing Arts
(formerly the Walker Theatre), which is now the permanent home to the
Prairie Music Hall of Fame.

For the first time ever, PMW operates in tandem with Folk Meet, the annual
Folk Alliance Canada (FAC) conference and showcase, at the Hotel Fort
Garry.
This conference features round table and panel discussions, as well as
valuable hands-on workshops designed to advance the knowledge and skills of

Prairie Music Week is organized by the Prairie Music Alliance, a partnership
between the Manitoba Audio Recording Industry Association, the
Saskatchewan
Recording Industry Association, and the Alberta Recording Industry
