Capitol Jazz & Classics has signed Bobby McFerrin with all recordings marketed simultaneously through Blue Note Records and Angel Records. His first CD will be a jazz record released on Blue Note due this fall.

Broadway's "Riverdance" at the Gershwin Theater will close on Aug. 26 after 618 performances. "Oklahoma" will open at the venue next February.

Thanks to Alanis Morissette's $150,000 donation, "Jane Eyre" has added another week to its Broadway run at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. It was scheduled to close May 20 after 185 performances (CA, May 16).
