C3 Presents & AEG Team Up To Acquire Front Gate Tickets

AUSTIN, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Promoters C3 Events and AEG Live have teamed up in a joint venture to acquire ticketing company Front Gate Tickets.

The Austin-based Front Gate provides ticketing to major events and festivals, including the Coachella Music & Arts Festival and Stagecoach Country Music Festival, which are run by AEG subsidiary Goldenvoice and Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits, both of which are C3 Presents festivals.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to Billboard, the company will reain the Front Gate Tickets brand and the company will continue to provide ticketing for clubs, theatres and artists, while AEG's axs ticketing company will continue to service larger clients, including arenas and stadiums.

Front Gate ws launched in 2003 as an alternative ticketing company in Austin, Texas and counts among its partners, Charles Attal, who is also a partner in C3 Presents. Maura Gibson, formerly of C3 Presents, has been selected to oversee the company going forward. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
