Bruce Allen Awarded A Diamond Jubilee Medal

NORTH VANCOUVER, BC (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Storied Canadian manager Bruce Allen is among a small group of Canadians to be awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

"It is an honour to have been chosen to receive the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal", noted Allen during the ceremony. "I thank Senator Dave Tkachuk for putting my name forward. I also want to thank all of the wonderful artists I have been involved with, and who via their art, have conquered the world. To have been a small part of that journey has been a blast

The award is given to citizens and permanent residents of Canada to "honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians." The Diamond Jubilee Medal commemorates the 60th Anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

Allen has managed some of Canada's top artists, including Michael Bublé, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Bryan Adams. In 1985, Allen led the charge for Ethiopian famine relief with Northern Lights, a Canadian 'supergroup.' Northern Lights performed "Tears Are Not Enough" a song written by David Foster, Jim Vallance, Bryan Adams, Rachel Paiement, Bob Rock and Paul Hyde. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
