Browser-Based Spotify Goes To Beta

NEW YORK (Hypebot) –Spotify will begin rolling out its much requested and long rumored browser-based player music player in beta today, according to reports. The news comes on the heels of a new $100 million funding round from Coca-Cola, Goldman Sachs and others first reported late yesterday.

"From the looks of it, the web player looks a lot like its desktop counterparts on Mac and Windows, including search, Spotify Radio, playlist editing and creation, and a 'What's New' section," according to entertainment and gadget site The Verge, who broke the story.

Audio and banner ads will reportedly be part of the new player which will roll out to all users in the coming months.
