Broken Leg Forces Ozzy To Postpone Tour Dates

A broken leg has forced Ozzy Osbourne to postpone 10 Merry Mayhem tour dates with Rob Zombie.

Osbourne suffered a stress fracture Oct. 31, before the tour's opening night in Tucson, Ariz., when he fell coming out of the shower. Unaware that his leg was fractured, he kept performing until the pain became too much to handle. After seeing a doctor Nov. 8, he discovered he had a stress fracture and was ordered to stop playing. Osbourne is now back in Los Angeles to get further treatment from his doctor.

The canceled shows are:

Nov. 9 – Houston, TX – Compaq Center

Nov. 10 – Bossier City, LA – CenturyTel Arena

Nov. 12 – Knoxville, TN – Thompson Boling Arena

Nov. 14 – Nashville, TN – Gaylord Entertainment Center

Nov. 15 – Cleveland, OH – Gund Arena

Nov. 17 – Cincinnati, OH – Firstar Center

Nov. 19 – Birmingham, AL – BJCC

Nov. 21 – West Palm Beach, FL – Mars Music Amphitheater

Nov. 23 – Greensboro, NC – Greensboro Coliseum

Nov. 24 – Atlanta, GA – Philips Arena

The tour's final show on New Year's Eve has also been nixed. A joint statement from Osbourne and Zombie said, "The current climate reflects the public's need to be with their families this holiday season. Both Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie have the utmost respect for their fans and share in their desire to be with loved ones this New Year's Eve."
