Britney Spears and StubHub Network are working together to auction premium seats to all shows on Britney Spears' upcoming North American Tour. This charity auction can be accessed through Britney Spears' official website, http://www.britneyspears.com/ , as well as through each site across the StubHub Network, including http://www.stubhub.com. Fans can bid on pairs of premium tickets, and each winner will also receive one SmartFlash Kit per pair of tickets and the chance to attend the sound check party prior to the show. Proceeds will benefit The Britney Spears Foundation, a charitable foundation that supports the annual Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts.
"We are excited to be working with StubHub to offer premium concert tickets to the fans," said co-manager Larry Rudolph for Britney Spears. "This allows Britney's fans to get access to premium seats and other great benefits, while at the same time raising money for The Britney Spears Foundation."
The StubHub Network is a nationwide group of websites that offer the co-branded StubHub Ticket Marketplace where fans can buy and sell tickets in a fully streamlined and secure fashion to live events throughout the country. The StubHub Ticket Marketplace, developed by LiquidSeats, Inc., powers the charity auction on BritneySpears.com. LiquidSeats handles all customer support, software development, payment processing and logistics for the Britney Spears charity auction.
"It is wonderful of Britney to support the performing arts for kids through her Foundation," said LiquidSeats CEO Jeffrey Fluhr. "We are glad that StubHub can help make this possible and look forward to working with other socially conscious artists in the same way."
The mission of The Britney Spears Foundation is focused on a singular goal — to help children. Central to the Foundation's core principles is the ability to apply the restorative aspect of entertainment to benefit children in need. The Foundation fulfills this mission in a variety of ways. Designed to benefit deserving youth, The Britney Spears Foundation supports the annual Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts. Now in its third year, the Camp includes 130 boys and girls, ages 11 — 15, who participate in performing arts workshops and master classes.
The Britney Spears Foundation also creates fun-filled sanctuaries for children on extended hospital stays. These sanctuaries allow kids to play, relax, learn, and most importantly, enjoy being kids. The first room was created at the Shriner's Hospital in Chicago. Along with these and other efforts, the Britney Spears Foundation will release the most rewarding dimensions of entertainment — the power to heal and the power to fulfill.
