Former President Bill Clinton has become the hottest attraction on the speaking circuit. According to Harry Walker, president of the Harry Walker Agency in New York, which handles Clinton's speaking engagements, "There's no question he's the highest paid speaker in the history of the lecture industry."
In 2001, Clinton earned $9.2 million for 59 speeches to a wide-ranging array of groups, including investment banks, Jewish and Israeli groups, advertising agencies and public relations companies. His biggest pay day was $350,000 from Comitado per il Congresso Nazionale della Pubblicata in Milan, Italy; his lowest was $28, 100 from the London School of Economics. (He did get $450,000 though from Japan's Mikki Corporation over three days.)
