ATLANTA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Rapper Big Boi has been forced to postpone a series of June tourdates due to a torn muscle in his left knee, an injury the performer sustained during a May 26 in Chillicothe, Illinois at Summer Camp Fest.
Big Boi, aka Antwan André Patton, underwent surgery this week at Atlanta Sports Medicine to treat a torn patella in his left knee. The rapper noted on Twitter that the surgery will take approximately six weeks to recover from and as a consequence, all of the June dates for his Shoes For Running tour have been pushed back to September, Billboard reported.
Big Boi has been on the road in support of his most recent album "Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors" which released last December.
