B'ESTIVAL Changes Name To B'ESTFEST

ROMANIA (VIP) — From 2008 B'ESTIVAL festival (Romania) will change its name to B'ESTFEST.

The first edition of B'ESTIVAL was a big success – 9 top artists as headliners, 50.000 people attending, the historical Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper duet – which not only drew the attention of the international media, but also of the most important European music associations.

This year, B'ESTIVAL was invited to become member of Yourope, and also joined the European Talent Exchange Program (ETEP).

Due to B'ESTIVAL's new international notoriety and also in order to avoid any posible confusion between B’ESTIVAL (Romania), Bestival (UK) and B-Estival (Spain) (notice the differences!), Emag!c Entertainment – the promoter of B’ESTIVAL – decided to change the festival's name from B'ESTIVAL to B'ESTFEST.

Guido Janssens, Managing Partner Emag!c Entertainment: “We intend to build this festival into one of the most succesful festivals in Europe, and we see it as a necessary step to establish a unique and unmistakable name for it.

We noticed also that for some international agents the distinction between – mainly – the UK Festival ‘Bestival’ and our ‘B’Estival’ was not always clear and our colleagues of Bestival (UK) were in the end also not too happy with the possible confusion that could be made internationaly between both our festivals. This is the reason why we took the decision to rename it B'ESTFEST from now on.”

B'ESTFEST 2008 will take place open-air in Bucharest, on the same Romexpo grounds, between 4 – 6 July. Over the next couple of weeks the first artist confirmations and ticket information will be announced.
