Bertelsmann Talks Long Range Plans

COLOGNE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — German media giant Bertelsmann AG has announced that it has long-range plans to make large acquisitions and strategic partnerships in the next five to ten years in order to boost its growth.

In a statement, the company laid out plans to focus on its core businesses and digital tranformation as well as growth in specific markets and platforms, though it offered few specifics.

Some of the markets that the company is eyeing as growth opportunities include China, India and Brazil, as well as bolstering its position in the U.S. market.

Bertelsmann's growth platforms include Freemantle Media's television production business, and their rights management business, in particular BMG music publishing.
