Barbuto New GM Of First Arena

Mark Barbuto has been named the new general manager of

the 4,500-seat SMG-managed First Arena in Elmira, NY. He was most recently was the director of Operations at the Mullins Center in Amherst, MA.

“The First Arena is the
centerpiece of the downtown revitalization effort," said Barbuto, "I look forward to continuing to build on what SMG has been able to accomplish.”

“This facility and team belong to the
community of Elmira," said SMG regional Vice President Bob McClintock "We at SMG envision a building where people and families can come together and enjoy all that the complex has to offer. Mark is one of SMG's high potential individuals that we are excited to see grow within the company and believe Mark has all the tools needed to bring this facility to the next level.”

“I would like to see everyone take a minute and check out our summer programs at the Recreation Rink," added Barbuto. "It’s great for the community to have such a wide variety of entertainment options during the summer months. We hope to be able to offer even more programs in the future, something for everyone to enjoy.”

Barbuto has also worked at the Rhode Island Convention Center and the New Haven
