Austin American-Statesman Signs Naming Rights Deal At The Long Center

AUSTIN, TX (CelebrityAccess) — The Long Center and Paragon Presents have signed an exclusive naming rights agreement with city newspaper the Austin American-Statesman. The deal will see Austin's new open air music venue named the Statesman Skyline Theater at the Long Center.

As a part of the agreement, the Statesman will help to promote the 7,000 capacity venue in both its print and digital mediums, which reach audience of over 600,000 per week.

“Statesman Media and its premier news and entertainment brands, Austin American-Statesman and Austin360, are thrilled to be a part of the Statesman Skyline Theater at Long Center’s inaugural season,” said Susie Gray, publisher of the Austin American-Statesman. “This partnership brings together two of Austin’s most iconic entities to provide the best live entertainment to the city’s burgeoning music scene and its fans.”

The inaugural season of the theater kicks off on May 20 with country star, Justin Moore. Also on the books are concerts by Boston and the music of Styx. The Steve Miller Band, The Goo Goo Dolls with Collective Soul and The Tribe Society.

"These kind of partnerships come down to how it can add value and benefit to the artists, the venue, and most importantly the fans. The Statesman is that perfect trifecta. They were our first call and I couldn't be happier," said Paul Thornton, President of Paragon Presents, the exclusive promoter of the venue.
