AUCKLAND, NZ (CelebrityAccess) — The debut of the New Zealand based Auckland City Limits had a successful first year, drawing capacity crowds and for the most part, running smoothly.
Organized by CRS Presents, in partnership with C3 Presents and Live Nation Australasia, the one-day festival attracted more than 25,000 music fans to Western Springs Park, with a lineup that included Kendrick Lamar, Fat Freddy's Drop, Girl Talk, The National, Modest Mouse and others.
According to the New Zealand Herald, the festival was one of the "easiest, smoothest, most well-run music festivals Auckland has ever had." However, attendees reported very long lines for concessions and sanitary facilities at the event.
As well, there was some confusion with administrative fees and refunds from the festival's cash free wristband system.
"Certainly the best atmosphere of any Auckland Festival ever. Great service staff. Mostly everything worked really well. Lots of gems like Houndmouth and Girl Talk (whose set set was explosive), the local acts held their own and the food was fantastic. Do yourself a favour and don't miss next year," said user Barry Rogers commenting on the New Zealand Herald's article. – Staff Writers
