Atlantis Music Conference Takes Shape


(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The seventh annual Atlantis Music Conference in Atlanta, July 21-24, will showcase more than 200 artists, feature keynote speaker TVT Records CEO Steve Gottlieb, and an array of panel sessions, providing networking opportunities for musicians and industry executives. The conference was started by Mark Willis of Willis Entertainment, Rich Levy of Clear Channel Entertainment and Lee Beitchman of Beitchman & Hudson.

Artists will showcase in 18 venues throughout Atlanta, including the Cotton Club, the Apache Café, Club Visions, Smith's Olde Bar, Vinyl, Starbar, Daily's and The Riviera Club.

Panel discussions include “BMI’s How I Wrote That Song”, headlined by 3 Doors Down vocalist Brad Arnold and guitarist Chris Henderson; “Musical Chairs – the A&R Panel”; and “Sponsorship – Feast or Famine.” There will also be a “Demo Derby” where musicians can get feedback from music industry execs.

Three-day artist showcase wristbands, which give participants access to 288 showcases and entry to the opening night party at Eleven50 is $30; individual performances at each of the showcases will run from $8 to $15. Among the confirmed artists are Lost Prophets, Goodie Mob, Midtown, Lil Scrappy, Heavy Mojo, Y-O-U, Scar, JaD, Tori Alamaze, The Whigs, Poor Righteous Teachers.
