The British pop group Atomic Kitten has signed a six-figure, one-year contract to promote Color Trend, an Avon make-up brand for teenagers. "We are really excited to be associated with a prestigious make-up brand," the band said in a statement.

Our Lady Peace Searches For New Guitarist

Taking its cue from Limp Bizkit's recent tour of guitarist auditions, Our Lady Peace, which parted ways with founding guitarist Mike Turner last December, is holding auditions for a new guitarist – via videotape.

OLP is asking interested guitarists to submit a videotape of no more than four minutes – two minutes of playing and two minutes of bio/background. Submissions should be sent by March 31 to Our Lady Peace — Guitar Search, 1121 Leslie St., Toronto, Ontario M3C 2J9

Eddie Money in Skiing Accident

While skiing with 3 of his sons during a tour that included several ski stops, Eddie Money took a spill and broke his lower left leg in two places. The accident took place while playing Waterville Valley ski resort in New Hampshire. While injured that morning and treated by mountain personnel, Money went on to do his show that night to a sold out crowd.

Afterwards, he was taken to a local emergency room where he was X-rayed and wrapped temporarily. He finished out the run, which included three more shows, sometimes going on stage with crutches and sitting on a stool or being wheeled out in a wheel chair.

He was seen back in Los Angeles by his doctors and fitted with a walking cast. When asked if he was hot-dogging up on the mountain, he said, "It's the Olympics; they get to me". He has had to cancel no shows, and his injury will not interfere with his touring schedule.

Rollins Band Organizes Benefit Concert

Rollins Band will do a benefit concert to take place March 8 at The Troubadour in Los Angeles. Henry Rollins has organized the concert specifically to benefit and bring attention to the murder case now known as the Robin Hood Hills Murders. The case of the three convicted young men, now known as the West Memphis Three was brought to national attention by the documentary film titled, Paradise Lost by Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky.

The West Memphis Three is a group of young men who were unjustly tried and convicted of brutally murdering three young boys in West Memphis, Arkansas in 1993. They are currently attempting to obtain a new trial, in order for two of the men to be released and cleared of all charges, and the third to be spared the death penalty. Money is desperately needed to help pay for the overwhelming legal costs.

The benefit evening will consist of performances from artists who believe in this cause. Confirmed to perform in addition to Rollins Band are Wayne Kramer’s Ship of Fools, and Exene Cervenka’s Original Sinners. A silent auction will occur throughout the evening featuring autographed items from Rollins Band, Supersuckers, Exene, and others.
