Another Ticketing Scam – VIP Tickets

A New Jersey Madonna fan, Evan Prodromo, bought a Madonna VIP ticket package for $1,634 from a ticket broker, Tri-State Tickets in Connecticut, which promised him a front row seat and a backstage "meet and greet" with Madonna after her July 25 show at Madison Square Garden.

He claims that he and two of his friends were scammed. The tickets were priced at $253, were in the 12th row but they never got to meet his idol. Prodromo and his friends bought their tickets by credit card over the phone in May for the concert. He received a receipt for the purchase and called the broker at least 10 times for the FedEx ticket delivery he paid for. He got the ticket on the day of the show by some guy who arranged to meet him in a Blimpie's restaurant. There, he met two female fans who were similarly "scammed."

Prodromo has requested his money back, and his credit card company is investigating.
