Andy Kim To Be Inducted Into Canadian Music Industry HoF

TORONTO (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for Canadian Music Week announced that singer-songwriter Andy Kim will be the 2016 inductee to the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame.

"Andy Kim's contributions to the Canadian and international music community are truly remarkable in his 50+ year career. As a former recipient of the Indie Award for Favorite Solo Artist during Canadian Music Week, we are so proud to have him as part of the CMW alumni and are thrilled at his induction into the Hall of Fame", says CMW President Neill Dixon.

A native of Montreal, Kim found his way to the famed Brill Building in New York City where he wrote and recorded hits such as "How'd We Ever Get This Way?", "Rock me Gently" and the Archies hit "Sugar Sugar."

Over the course of his career, Kim has sold more than 30 million records and been inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame.

Kim will be inducted during the annual Canadian Music & Broadcast Industry Awards Gala Dinner in the Grand Ballroom at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto on Thursday May 5, 2016. – Staff Writers
