CORNWALL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — British singer Amy Winehouse appeared at a scheduled performance at the Eden Project on July 17th, after two weeks of canceled gigs and managed to offend some of her fans sufficiently to make them walk out on her by appearing to spit on them, the Daily Mail reported.
Variously described as "shambling" and frustrated, Winehouse was reported to be acting "weird," forgetting lyrics and hitting herself in the head with her microphone. One fan, Melinda Trevaskis, told the Daily Post that "The gig became absolutely awful. Members of her entourage were coming on to the stage, obviously worried she couldn't go on, and she would just shout "f*** off" at them. Everyone in the crowd just felt sorry for her."
Eventually the singer stormed off the stage during the last song of the set – a cover of the song "Valerie" by the Zutons, the Daily Mail said.
Winehouse hasn't been reliable about making gigs. Last weekend, she skipped a major festival appearance at T in the Park, citing "exhaustion." Not exhausted enough as she was reportedly photographed that very night, enjoying the hospitality of a local public house. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
