NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Veteran Nashville music exec Bonnie Sugarman has joined Outback Presents as the company’s newly-appointed Community Outreach Coordinator.

In her new role, Sugarman will coordinate Outback’s charitable efforts and donations, and handle incoming proposals and requests.

Sugarman began her entertainment career in Chicago with ICM and after a move to Los Angeles, she became an agent in the company’s fairs, festivals, and corporate events department.

She then joined APA in 1983 as head of fairs and festivals where she worked with artists such as Johnny and June Cash, Tony Bennett, the Gatlin Brothers, Dottie West, and Rosemary Clooney among others.

She relocated to Nashville in the mid-1990s to help APA launch a local office in Music City and eventually named Senior Vice President at the agency.

She stepped down from her role at APA after 35 years in 2018.

Her accolades include multiple wins of the NATD’s Agent of the Year Award and she was honored with the NATD Hubert Long Award in 2005, and currently serves as the first VP of NATD.

On November 19, Sugarman will be honored at the 9th Annual NATD Honors Gala where she will receive the Colonel Tom Parker Award. The event will be held at the Hermitage Hotel in Nashville.
