NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) — BMG has officially opened its new Nashville headquarters, bringing its recordings operation BBR Music Group, BMG’s publishing operation, and BMG’s copyright and royalties operations all under one roof, while providing its artists and songwriters with state-of-the-art studio space.
The newly developed 36,000 square foot, two-floor facility features both indoor/outdoor working space, seven fully equipped/top-of-the-line songwriter/recording rooms, multiple live performance areas, four state-of-the-art A/V meeting spaces and conference rooms, purpose-designed individual listening rooms and a large communal area outside of the building for live events.
The move comes 10 years after the newly-launched BMG established a foothold in Nashville with the acquisition of Crosstown Songs. Since then, the company’s Nashville operation has grown into the company’s third largest worldwide, after Los Angeles and the UK, but ahead of Germany.
In that time, BMG Nashville has grown from 20 staffers dedicated to publishing to nearly 100 employees across publishing, recordings, and operations which includes everything from A&R, to publicity, radio promotion and sync licensing.
BMG Nashville also now serves as the locus of all of BMG’s US copyright and royalties team led by Eric Scott, SVP, Rights Administration and Royalty Services, which oversees publishing royalties, master royalties, mechanical licensing, and copyright administration.
