NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) The song “Old Town Road” has had its share of attention lately, but none of it probably matches that of the CMT video awards show in Nashville on Friday.
The CMA Fest wrapped with a performance by Lil Nas X, Keith Urban and Billy Ray performing the smash hit, a song that wasn’t at first accepted by the country music charts.
“It’s just a massive amount of people singing the same song and feeling it and it’s a unique feeling,” Cyrus said. “I never thought I’d ever get to feel it again. And I mean it’s just been really special.”
Lil Nas X added, “You know, I was feeling it. Like the audience, Keith, Billy, you know everything just came together. It was great.”
Cyrus added that the young rapper was a very humble man, especially considering the amount of attention from the song, to which the rapper added, “I was at a Waffle House like three days ago and like this woman you want to talk to her blind child on the phone, and I was just talking to him and he was like, ‘Put Billy on the phone.'”
