LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — To mark LGBT Pride Month, entertainment and venue management giant AEG announced it is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising with the release of a new website and social media campaign “Equality For All.”

The campaign encourages people to visit aegworldwide.com/pride to learn about key moments in the history of the gay rights movement. The campaign also includes a “We Stand Together” video and GIF which people can share via social media.

“We proudly support and celebrate Pride Month and #EqualityForAll. At AEG, diversity and inclusion are foundational values that are embedded in how we think, operate and act. We believe that everyone is unique and deserves to be recognized and respected regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. We strive to make everyone feel welcome and supported at our company and at all of our events,” said AEG’s Dan Beckerman.

AEG is one of the few companies that has earned a 100 score on the 2019 Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI).

Last year, company founder Phil Anschutz came under fire after tax filings revealed that he’d given 190,000 to anti-gay groups between 2010 and 2013, sparking a boycott campaign aimed at Coachella.

At the time, Anschutz released a statement that read, in part, “Recent claims published in the media that I am anti-LGBTQ are nothing more than fake news—it is all garbage. I unequivocally support the rights of all people without regard to sexual orientation.”

He also noted that he had immediately ceased contributing to some organizations when he learned of their support for anti-gay causes.
