LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Hollywood actor Danny Trejo helped rescue a young boy who was trapped in an overturned, partially-crushed vehicle, following a traffic accident in Los Angeles’ Sylmar neighborhood Wednesday (Aug 7.), according to KABC-TV.
Authorities said two cars crashed in the intersection after one ran a red light.
According to Trejo, he and another bystander – a woman who identified herself as Monica Jackson – joined forces to free the child, who was strapped into his car seat in the back of the car, before emergency personnel arrived on the scene.
The boy’s grandmother, who had been driving, was also trapped in the vehicle.
KABC-TV reported that nobody was seriously injured, although three people, including the grandmother and young boy, were taken to a hospital for medical evaluation.
The 75-year-old Trejo, an L.A. native, is best known for playing the character Machete from the “Spy Kids” series.
