CALIFORNIA (CelebrityAccess) – Legendary record producer and convicted murderer Phil Spector is donning a decidedly different look in his new mugshot released by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
In the image, Spector, who is currently serving 19 years to life for the 2003 shooting death of actress Lana Clarkson, is seen smiling and sporting a bald head, a goatee, and hearing aids – a far cry from the outrageous wigs he wore during his 2009 trial.
Spector, whose signature “Wall of Sound” production style defined pop music during the ’60s and ’70s, is best known for his work with artists such as the Ronettes, the Righteous Brothers, the Beatles, Ike and Tina Turner, Cher, and the Ramones, among others.
The 79-year-old will be eligible for parole in 2025.
