AFRICA (CelebrityAccess) – Uganda-based label Nyege Nyege Tapes has inked a global Neighboring Rights deal with PRO Agency.
Based in Kampala, Nyege Nyege Tapes releases music across a range of genres, including Electro Acholi from Northern Uganda and Singeli from Tanzania.

Founded in 2012 by German distributor Cargo Records, PRO Agency now independently administers neighboring rights for producers and performers at 46 collecting societies worldwide. The organization’s label and distribution partners include Symphonic Distribution, Majestic Casual, Boysnoize Records, Kompakt, Secretly Canadian, Secretly Group, Cinq Music Group, and Berliner Philharmoniker, among others.
Earlier this week, Nyege Nyege Tapes launched a new mixtape series. The first is titled At The Villa and features several artists from the label’s roster as well as some of the guests that appeared at 2018’s Nyege Nyege festival.
