PARIS (CelebrityAccess) – Pete Doherty has reportedly been arrested in Paris for allegedly buying cocaine.
According to local reports, the Libertines and Babyshambles frontman was placed in detention on Thursday night after being found by police in possession of drugs.
The incident allegedly took place in Paris’ Pigalle district, which is known for its after-hours bars and clubs.
Since rising to fame in the 2000s, Doherty has repeatedly landed himself in trouble with the law, facing a number of drug-related offenses over the years.
This latest arrest comes as Doherty and The Libertines are preparing for a tour of Europe set to kick off later this month. No word yet on whether the incident will interfere with the upcoming dates.
