NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) – An Austin, Texas, man has pleaded guilty to stalking and sending threatening letters and emails to Taylor Swift’s former record company Big Machine Label Group, reports The Associated Press.
According to federal prosecutors in Nashville, Tennessee, 27-year-old Eric Swarbrick sent at least 40 letters and emails to Swift’s label between January and September of 2018 when he was charged and arrested.
His communication reportedly began with requests to be introduced to Swift, however, grew to be more violent and threatening as the year went on.
On three occasions Swarbrick reportedly hand-delivered his letters to the label and has admitted to wandering its offices, reports the AP.
He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each of the two counts, and will reportedly remain in custody until he is sentenced in March.
