LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Republic Records has promoted Beau Benton to senior vp, media.
Benton joined Republic in 2014 as vice president of media, after spending a decade at public relations agency 42West. He relocated from New York to Republic’s Santa Monica office in 2018 to lead West Coast media operations.
In his new role, Benton will continue to spearhead campaigns for superstars like Florence + The Machine, James Blake, Kid Cudi, Post Malone and The Weeknd, plus up-and-comers like Chelsea Cutler, Evie Irie, Jeremy Zucker, Lil Tecca and Yung Gravy. Additionally, he’ll be tasked with working on film soundtrack album campaigns like A Million Little Pieces and Charlie’s Angels, which includes the recent Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey collab “Don’t Call Me Angel.”
Of the promotion, Republic’s executive vp, media & artist relations Joseph Carozza said: “Not only is Beau one of the best forward-thinking media executives in the business, but he has also become a true leader on our team. His new presence on the West Coast has invariably strengthened our department as a whole. It’s exciting to announce this much-deserved promotion.”
Added Benton: “Republic Records has always fostered an environment that promotes growth and opportunity. This philosophy is shared by the executive team across the board from Monte and Avery Lipman to our department head Joe Carozza. I’m very grateful to work alongside all of them, learn from them, and receive the opportunity to represent the company on their behalf in Los Angeles and further grow its presence here.”
