NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – Emerging pop/R&B singer, songwriter and entertainer Conor Matthews has signed with Warner Records in conjunction with Altadena, a new music company founded by Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer busbee.
Born in Illinois, Matthews made the move to Nashville as soon as he graduated high school. While there, a chance encounter led to a publishing deal with Keith Urban and Warner Chappell Music. He was well on his way to a successful career as a country songwriter, until a friend played him some Justin Timberlake and introduced him to the world of pop/R&B. Fueled by this new inspiration, Conor shouldered a grueling regimen of vocal and dance training while forging a tightknit, LA-based songwriting and production crew that have collectively shaped his upcoming releases on Warner Records.
Of the signing, busbee said: “As much as I admire Conor’s natural abilities as a vocalist, a songwriter, and an entertainer, I can’t help but admire his work ethic, his intense desire to win, and the way he treats those around him even more. Matthews is the first pop artist to sign with Altadena through the partnership with Warner Records. His first major label release, “Too Late” is out today.
