(CelebrityAccess) — The Grammy Museum is now accepting grant submissions from organizations and individuals engaged in preserving music’s history, and in scientific research efforts.
The Grammy Museum Grant Program, which is funded by the Recording Academy, is focused on supporting the archiving of the recorded sound heritage of the Americas and to explore the impact of music on the human condition.
To date, the Grammy Museum has provided more than $7 million in grants awarded to over 400 recipients.
Grant funds have used to preserve private collections of music and music-related ephemera, as well as materials at the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian and numerous colleges and universities.
Grants have also supported scientific research examining the links between music and early childhood education, treatments for illnesses and injuries common to musicians, and the impact of music therapy.
